Welcome to the valley of a hundred waterfalls, a true paradise for canyoning in Slovenia! Predelica canyoning in Bovec takes place on the Predelica (or Predelnica) stream, which carves a steep path from Predel Pass to the village of Log pod Mangartom, creating one of the most exciting spots for canyoning in Triglav National Park. While canyoning in Upper Predelica, you’ll navigate 11 stunning waterfalls, with a mix of slides, jumps, and abseils. The waterfalls here are higher and more exposed, making this an intermediate canyoning experience.
We leave our van at the parking lot where the road to Mangart, the highest road in Slovenia, begins. After an easy 20-minute walk, we reach a pool known as the “emerald eye” — the perfect place to enter the canyon.
This canyon’s natural beauty is hard to beat, with emerald-green water, white limestone formations, and lush forest surroundings. The waterfalls range from smaller playful sections to more impressive descents, with the grand finale being a 33-meter vertical waterfall.
We won’t lie — you probably won’t love the 40-minute hike back to the car. But we promise you won’t be thinking about that when you’re telling your friends about one of the best canyoning experiences near Bovec.
